PGA applauds the ratification of the ATT by Liechtenstein on December 16, 2014.

The Arms Trade Treaty enters into force on 24 December, 2014.

PGA's Campaign for Universality and Implementation of the ATT works with MPs in over 70 countries worldwide promoting ratification of the Arms Trade Treaty.

To date, 125 countries have signed and 57 countries have ratified the ATT.

Ambassador Christian Wenaweser, Permanent Representative of Liechtenstein to the United Nations and Chair of the UN Committee for PGA remarked:

"The ATT is a landmark agreement, and its entry into force in 2014 is a milestone in our common effort to address irresponsible arms trade. I applaud the PGA for its key role in mobilizing states to achieve universality of the treaty .”

The Treaty shall enter into force for the Philippines on 22 June 2022

The Move Follows the Concurrence of the Senate of Philippines to the Ratification of the Arms Trade Treaty on January 26, 2022.
