GABON - PGA's International Peace and Security Program congratulates the Government of Gabon on the occasion of its Acceptance of the Arms Trade Treaty on 21st September, 2022, becoming the 112th State Party to the ATT.

PGA Member, Former Foreign Minister of Gabon and Ambassador Designate of Gabon to the United States of America, Hon. Noël Nelson MESSONE (Vice Chair of the Foreign Relations and Defence Committee of the Parliament of Gabon) has shared yesterday the following observation with PGA's International Peace and Security Program:

This signature is testimony to my country's commitment to global peace and security. Gabon has also been a promoter of the regional agreement in Central Africa to fight the illicit circulation of light and small caliber weapons. Gabon remains willing to work with various stakeholders in promoting and advancing global peace and security.

Gabon's Acceptance of the Arms Trade Treaty on 21st September, 2022, makes it the 112th State Party to the ATT.

The Treaty shall enter into force for the Philippines on 22 June 2022

The Move Follows the Concurrence of the Senate of Philippines to the Ratification of the Arms Trade Treaty on January 26, 2022.
