Why should you join PGA?

You will be able to:

  • Attend international, regional and/or national parliamentary events, including PGA’s Annual Forum, to foster peer-to-peer dialogue and share respective experiences and best legislatives practices in line with international standards in promotion of international law, human rights, gender equality and inclusion, international peace and security, and democracy.
  • Access to extensive, ongoing provision of technical and legal advice from experts in the PGA Secretariat to support you in your advocacy to ratify or accede to an international treaty and/or pass implementing domestic legislation and other legislative initiatives in the framework of the PGA campaigns.
  • Regularly receive, by email, media updates or compilations of media articles, podcasts, reports and other material on crucial developments pertaining to the PGA campaigns’ subject-matters. This will allow the reader/ parliamentarian to be kept informed and will provide new thinking based on legislative initiatives taken around the world.
  • Engage in ongoing liaising and, as appropriate, cooperation with high-level regional organizations, civil society, governments and UN bodies.

Renew your Membership

PGA carries out field missions in all regions of the world, providing country-tailored technical and legal advice to its member-parliamentarians. To help us contribute to “a rules-based international order for a more equitable, safe and democratic world”, we kindly ask our members to contribute with an annual nominal membership fee* of $20 USD. We are very grateful for any additional donations.

*In principle, the annual nominal membership fee is voluntary. However, according to PGA’s By-Laws, in order for members of the International Council to vote during the annual meetings, as well as for members standing for office (Executive Committee), dues must be paid.
