El objetivo de la reunión era promover la universalidad y la plena implementación del Estatuto de Roma y la lucha contra la impunidad en los países africanos francófonos, especialmente en el contexto de crítica hacia la Corte Penal Internacional (CPI) por parte de algunos gobiernos del continente.
