Adoption of implementation legislation of the Rome Statute of the ICC

Romania has adopted full implementing legislation of all core crimes under art. 5 of the Rome Statute via the Penal Code of 17 July 2009. The Penal Code only includes the principle on the Non-Applicability of Statute of Limitations, and there is only one provision on cooperation with the ICC on the surrender of individuals (art. 14(3))
