Event: World Day Against the Death Penalty

Description: Observed every 10 October, the World Day Against the Death Penalty unifies the global abolitionist movement and mobilizes civil society, political leaders, lawyers, public opinion and more to support the call for the universal abolition of capital punishment. This year, the World Day will focus on calling for a person-first approach, re-centering the human in abolitionist advocacy, with the slogan “Stories for life”

Who can Attend: This day is observed annually by Parliamentarians for Global Action and the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty, among other abolitionist actors.
