Event: PGA Participation in the IPU Global Parliamentary Conference on Human Rights

When: 4 - 5 November

Description: PGA will send a delegaton to The IPU Global Parliamentary Conference on Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference will bring together parliamentarians, UN representatives, national human rights institutions and civil society to address the growing pressures on fundamental freedoms and democratic institutions.

It will focus on how parliaments can translate international human rights commitments into concrete national action and respond to key challenges such as threats to freedom of expression, migration, children’s rights, disability, inclusion and the protection of parliamentarians themselves.

Who can Attend: All parliamentarians whose pariliaments are members of the Inter-Parliamentary Union are welcome to attend.
