Hon. Carlo Sommaruga MP highlights the importance of Switzerland moving away from arms production, the negative impact of such production in foreign conflicts, the impossibility of properly overseeing usage of arms, once sold/exported, the inability to claim anymore that weapons are sold only to countries where there is no conflict, and the importance of Switzerland setting a high standard on the international stage.
