As a PGA Member, I am very pleased to see such an important step being taken in the Nacional Popular Assembly. In the past 18 months I have been working with PGA and with my colleagues in Parliament in order to promote and secure this Ratification of the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT).

The approval of the Ratification of the ATT takes place in a crucial time for Guinea Bissau. It is important that the Executive sees that the Deposit of the Instrument of Ratification takes place as soon as possible. Dr. Suzy Barbosa, Member of Parliament, PGA Executive Member

The Ratification of the Arms Trade Treaty in Guinea Bissau is of great importance. It comes at a time when we are arising from all the uncertainties that our country has gone through in the past few years.

As a member of PGA, I thank the organization for sensitizing our MPs to promote the Arms Trade Treaty. This important instrument will help our country to set a good example, not only to the region but also to International Community as a whole. Hon. Cipriano Cassama, Speaker of Parliament
