PGA delegation meets with Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay to discuss ratification of the Kampala Amendments and voluntary agreements with the ICC

A PGA delegation integrated by Dip. Barrios Monge (Paraguay), Dip. Bogado Tatter (Paraguay), Dip. Daniel Radio (Uruguay) and PGA Legal Advisor, Ms Romina Morello met with the Deputy Minister of Justice, Ab. Raul Caballero and the Representative for International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of paraguay to discuss the ratification of the Kampala Amendments and the voluntary agreements with the ICC. 

After sharing the PGA concern about the lack of cooperation of some states parties with the ICC, Ab. Caballero was open to  analyze the language within the framework's voluntary agreements with the ICC.  Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials agreed to consider the Kampala Amendments ratification, however they stressed that it would be important that implementation takes place before ratification. 

The high level government officials and the PGA delegation stressed the importance of supporting the fundamental mandate of the ICC in the best possible way.
