PGA wishes to congratulate Zimbabwe and all its Members in its PGA National Group in the Parliament of Zimbabwe on the occasion of the signature by Zimbabwe yesterday of the ATT.

PGA Member Hon. Jessie Majome MP - who participated in PGA's ATT Workshop in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in May 2013 has remarked

"I am delighted to hear that Zimbabwe has today signed the Arms Trade Treaty. As a PGA Member who had been advocating intensively for this day and mobilizing other PGA members also to do so, I am particularly pleased that this action was taken before the entry into force of the ATT on 24 December, 2014. I now urge the Government of Zimbabwe to ratify the ATT as soon as possible in the New Year."
