In conjunction with the 33rd Annual Forum, PGA held its Defender of Democracy Awards dinner on the evening of October 30th, 2011.
The Defender of Democracy Award honours those individuals who have defended the principles of peace, democracy and justice around the world.
In 2011, PGA honoured H.E. Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, President of Sierra Leone, for his fight against corruption and the implementation of policies to promote peace, democracy and transparency in his country.
