PGA will organize a side meeting to the 54th Commission on the Status of Women in March on the topic of Gender and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The roundtable discussion will include several cross-cutting themes central to gender including reproductive health, disabilities, climate change and economic policy. The goal will be to use the overall theme of the 54th CSW, 15-year review of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, as a guideline to discuss progress and challenges faced by individual countries and/or regions. The participants will include members of parliament from diverse regions, experts from the United Nations agencies and NGOs.
